Managing my profile

On the My profile page, GraceBlocks users can change their passwords and manage the information associated with their accounts. This area is also the point for management (activation/deactivation) of any and all Zones where you are a designated Zone owner. Finally, the My profile page is the area where you can deactivate your account. This help article describes all the key actions that are available under My profile, including:

Managing your avatar, name, and password

At initial account creation, you provided a first and last name to identify yourself. For your default avatar, GraceBlocks auto-creates a colored circle with the first letter of your first and last names. If necessary, you can change your first and last name and also upload a personal image to use as your avatar by completing the steps outlined below. This name and avatar will be used across all Zones where your account is associated.

Find an image file on your desktop, select it, and click Open.

🔔 Pick a file that represents yourself. The file needs to be an image file, such as a headshot (.png, .jpg, .gif, .svg are supported file types) and is ideally square.

The default image is replaced with the new image. Move the cursor over and click the existing image at any time to replace it with a different image.

Your login method will display next. This is derived based on how you log in and will say either Google, Microsoft or Direct username/password

5

Only if your method of login in via Direct username/password (see setting just above), you will see the option to Change your password. Click change here to change your password, you will then be prompted through the password change process.

6

Only if your method of login is via Direct username/password (see setting 4 above) you may see this option to turn on multifactor authentication. Toggle it on if you want to increase the security of your account by requiring an additional phone validation step while logging in.

🔔 If you belong to at least one Zone where the Zone owner has enabled multifactor, this checkbox will be grayed out and checked. You will not be able to uncheck it.

🔔 The Multifactor setting only applies for direct login. Users logging in with Google or Microsoft should use these identity providers' settings should multi-factor be desired.

Click here to learn more about multifactor.

7

You will stay logged into GraceBlocks on your device until you log out on your own accord or the severity login time period is reached. This time period is derived based shortest interval specified across all of the Zones you belong to. It appears here for informational purposes only and can not be edited. If you are a Zone owner, you can control the severity login timeframe by going to Zone settings.

Managing your contact information

Currently, GraceBlocks supports storing a single validated email and phone number with your account profile. Until they are validated, both the email and phone are editable.

🔔 Before you can become a Zone owner, you must have a validated phone number stored with your profile.

Follow the steps below to finalize and validate your email address and phone number on file.

Activating/Deactivating the Zones where you are an owner

If you are a Zone owner, the Zones where you are listed as the owner are listed in the Zone owner information. If you do not yet own any Zones, you can ignore this section, or you can get your phone number validated so that you can create your first Zone! If you do not own any Zones, the section looks like this:

If you are a Zone owner, use this section to activate or deactivate the Zones you own. See Cancelling payment/Zone deactivation/Zone re-activation.

Deactivating your account

Provided that you are not the only owner of an active Zone, you can deactivate your GraceBlocks account from the bottom section (Account status) of the My profile page by clicking Deactivate my account.

mceclip14.png

If you are the only Zone owner of one or more active Zones, before you can deactivate your account you need to transfer the Zone owner responsibility or deactivate the Zones (see the section on "Activating/deactivating the zones where you are an owner").

Deactivating your account removes your profile from active use in any Zones where you were a user. If you were on any paid plans, deactivating your account removes your account from consideration as an active license that needs to be paid for by the Zone owner. For more information, see GraceBlocks plans.

For detailed steps on deactivating your account, see Deactivating your GraceBlocks profile.
